“As a junior in high school, I knew I wanted to farm. In FFA we met with bankers to see if we were eligible for loans. I met with two banks. Iowa State Savings Bank told me they would work with me.
With my first loan from ISSB, I started farming while still in high school in 1974. I have been farming for over 50 years, and the bank has been there with us through it all.
It’s a partnership, it really is. It’s more than just going in to see a banker; our bankers have become our friends. I still talk to the bankers that retired. People have changed, but the service has stayed the same.
