My dad got married and started farming in 1948. I grew up here, stayed, and have been farming all of my life. I bought my first farm in 1977. Everything we’ve done has been through the bank. We’ve grown step by step with the Iowa State Savings Bank. We’ve always got along well at the bank and with the people. We’ve never, ever thought about going anywhere else. I say, go there.
They make you feel welcome and important. They are really good at explaining the business side so you can understand, and they are always there to answer any questions we have.
My brother and I have been farming a piece of land since 1982. We’ve farmed it all of these years and now my son Will is farming one half and has the opportunity to buy the acreage which is great.
