Skip Kenyon

Arnold “Skip” Kenyon, III, will retire from his position as Senior Trust Officer at Iowa State Savings Bank on December 30, 2022.

Kenyon is a native of Creston and a graduate of Iowa State University and the University of Iowa Law School. He practiced law in Creston for 45 years and lead the Iowa State Savings Bank Trust Department for the last six years.

Adam Snodgrass, ISSB President and CEO, spoke of Kenyon’s retirement by saying, “Skip has been a tremendous employee for ISSB, and we were fortunate he joined the bank after retiring from his law practice.  During his time at ISSB, the Trust Department has grown in both size and reputation, and Skip’s efforts have laid a foundation for ongoing success. In addition to his knowledge and professionalism, one of Skip’s greatest attributes is his positive attitude.  ‘It’s another great day in the Trust Department.’ was Skip’s likely response anytime someone asked about his day.  We all wish Skip a happy and well-deserved retirement.”

Transition

Kim Baker was promoted to Trust Officer in June. Baker began working at the bank in 2009 and has worked in the Trust Department for 12 years.

Baker graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business and a major in Economics from Iowa State University. She later graduated from the School of Trust and Financial Services and Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin – Madison.

“Kim and I partnered on all trust matters during my six years,” Kenyon describes, “We have worked together to bring the ISSB Trust Department to the level that it has attained.”

Andrew Zimmerman was named Trust Officer and Internal Legal Counsel at Iowa State Savings Bank this summer and began his employment in October.

Zimmerman has his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law and practiced law in Southwest Iowa for 10 years. While practicing, he largely focused on estate, trust and succession planning, real estate, probate and tax planning.

Kenyon describes Zimmerman’s transition, “I have been familiar with Andrew’s work since he began practicing in Corning.  He has shown a real commitment to our Trust Department and is very knowledgeable in this field.”

As Kenyon reflects on his time at Iowa State Savings Bank, he states “It truly has been a pleasure to work with everyone at ISSB. The Iowa State Savings Bank Trust Department could not be in better hands.
